Northwestern College Christmas Tree Lighting Service
Orange City area residents are invited to join Northwestern College students, faculty and staff for the annual President’s Christmas Tree Lighting Monday evening, Nov. 26. The 7 p.m. worship service in front of Zwemer Hall will include music by a brass ensemble and the Women’s Choir, remarks by President Greg Christy, Scripture reading by theatre students, and Christmas carols sung by the audience as they light candles. Northwestern College to Present Christmas Vespers
The Northwestern College music department will present its annual Christmas Vespers concert on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 2, at 3 p.m. in Christ Chapel. “Striped Sounds” Art Exhibit
“Striped Sounds,” an art exhibit by Shannon Sargent of Sioux City, will be on display in Northwestern College’s Te Paske Gallery Jan. 8 through Feb. 15. A public reception with the artist is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 11, at 7 p.m. Sargent’s show is an interactive installation of mixed media containing manipulated materials such as paintings, sculptures and found objects. The Rev. Richard Allen Farmer, a pastor and accomplished musician, will give a lecture and concert at Northwestern College on Tuesday, Jan. 15.
