Northwestern College’s 2025 nursing graduates have recorded a 100% first-time pass rate on the NCLEX-RN board exam.

Northwestern College student conducts summer research at MD Anderson Cancer Center

Dane Schoenborn, a senior biology–health professions major at Northwestern College from Mahnomen, Minnesota, has spent much of his summer conducting research at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. He participated in the highly competitive 10-week Summer Program in Cancer Research, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health and the National Cancer Institute.

NWC engineering program director approved as ABET program evaluator

Dr. Young-Ji Byon, the founding director of Northwestern College’s engineering program, has been approved as an ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) program evaluator. He will be an official ABET evaluator during an accreditation visit of a large Midwestern university’s civil engineering program this fall.

Northwestern College physician assistant students to graduate Aug. 9

The fourth cohort of students in Northwestern College’s physician
assistant studies program will graduate Saturday, Aug. 9. Master’s degrees will be awarded to 29 students during a 10 a.m. ceremony in Christ Chapel.

Northwestern faculty awarded grants for summer scholarship

Thirteen Northwestern College professors will conduct research and pursue further study this summer with funding from the Northwestern College Scholarship Grants program. The awards, ranging from $2,800 to $5,300, are designed to encourage the production of scholarly work for publication and distribution beyond Northwestern’s campus.
