The newest mural in Orange City will be dedicated Thursday, June 13 at 9:30 am, at the mural site: south of Orange City Floral and Siouxland Realty.
Artist Mark Alsum is a Northwestern College graduate with a degree in art. He grew up in Alton.
He and his wife Rebecca will be moving to Duluth at the end of June.
This mural, Mark’s second in Orange City, will be dedicated to the memory of Becky Kleinwolterink, former Orange City Arts Council board member. Becky was an energetic and proactive member of the Arts Council, giving many hours to further the arts in the Orange City area.
Thanks to the Orange City Arts Council, Kevin Lammers of Orange City Floral, the city of Orange City and betterment board, and Diamond Vogel Paints for their generous contributions to the mural project.
