John Michael Hinton, a magician who was featured on the CW hit show “Penn & Teller: Fool Us,” will give a free performance in Northwestern College’s Christ Chapel on Friday, April 9, at 7:30 p.m. The event is co-sponsored by Northwestern College and Orange City Arts.
Driven by a passion to encourage people to embrace joy and find purpose, Hinton incorporates a unique mix of illusion, storytelling and humor in his shows. His style of magic uses everyday objects to accomplish impossible feats. A live video feed helps to give every audience member a close-up view of the mystery.
Capacity is limited to 50% due to COVID-19. Doors will open for students at 7 p.m. and for the community at 7:10 p.m. No ticket reservations are necessary, but since capacity is limited, people are encouraged to come early. All attendees will need to follow campus COVID-19 policies, which include masking while inside campus buildings.
Hinton will also speak in Northwestern’s chapel service that morning at 10:05.
