Northwestern College’s 2024 graduates achieved a 99.5% placement rate within six months of graduation. A survey of members of the class revealed that 80% are employed, 19% are in grad school, and 0.5% are either volunteering or not searching for a job.
Data was collected by the college’s Compass Center for Career and Calling using the First-Destination Survey of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE)—and following NACE guidelines and protocols. Northwestern’s survey response rate of 100% far exceeds the national standard of 65% set by NACE.
“Our 2024 graduates credit their NWC education with helping them choose majors and prepare for careers and graduate study,” says Dr. Elizabeth Pitts, director of the Compass Center. “More importantly, they point to their curricular and cocurricular experiences as providing a biblical framework for thinking about vocation as not just work, but all of life’s roles, responsibilities and relationships. It is our joy to watch them bring their gifts to such a wide array of influence.”
The Mayo Clinic, Fidelity Investments, Nebraska Sports Council, KELO TV, Lincoln Public School District, and Interstates are just a few of the more than 143 companies and organizations that hired Northwestern’s 2024 graduates.
Among the roles members of the class of 2024 now hold are those of a credit analyst, interpreter, multimedia journalist, band director, personal trainer, laboratory technician, worship director, social studies teacher, and child and family services specialist.
