For the fourth year in a row, Northwestern College has set a spring enrollment record. This year’s number is 1,584, up from 1,525 last spring.
This semester’s enrollment includes a 14% increase in online and graduate student enrollment. This spring 615 students are studying in Northwestern’s Graduate School & Adult Learning division, including online master’s degree programs in education and counseling, online degree-completion programs in early childhood and nursing, and an on-site master’s degree program in physician assistant studies—up from 539 last fall.
A 90.3% retention rate for freshmen also contributed to this spring’s record.
“We are blessed to continue setting enrollment records,” says Tamara Fynaardt, vice president for enrollment and marketing. “More students are being attracted to Northwestern because of our compelling combination of standout programs, integration of faith and learning, and welcoming community, realizing we provide outstanding preparation to help them lead lives of significance.”
