Northwestern College is ranked as the third-best college or university in Iowa by College Consensus, a college review aggregator that averages the latest results from the most respected college rankings with thousands of online student review scores.
“Northwestern is deeply committed to the values of Christian higher education and traditional liberal arts, emphasizing critical analysis, problem-solving, communication and leadership. Northwestern’s No. 1 mission is to send thoughtful, compassionate Christian leaders into their professions and careers,” says a write-up about the college on College Consensus’ website. “Northwestern College has made concerted efforts to attract a more diverse student and faculty body, with around 10% of students coming from minority groups. Those who are looking for a Christian environment will find it at Northwestern.”
The College Consensus ranking averages rankings from organizations such as Forbes, U.S. News and The Wall Street Journal with student reviews published on sites such as Cappex, Niche and Unigo.
Grinnell College was ranked first in the state by College Consensus, followed by Drake University, second; Northwestern College, third; Loras College, fourth; St. Ambrose University, fifth; University of Iowa, sixth; Luther College, seventh; University of Northern Iowa, eighth; Wartburg College, ninth; and Clarke University, 10th.
