Thirteen Northwestern College professors will conduct research and pursue further study this summer with funding from the Northwestern College Scholarship Grants program. The awards, ranging from $2,800 to $5,300, are designed to encourage the production of scholarly work for publication and distribution beyond Northwestern’s campus.
Dr. Scott Monsma, professor of sociology at Northwestern College, has been named the 2025 recipient of the Northwestern Teaching Excellence Award. He was honored during the college’s commencement ceremony on May 10.
Dr. Michael Kugler, professor of history at Northwestern College, has been named the 2025 recipient of the college’s Faculty Excellence in Faith and Learning Award. He was recognized during commencement exercises on May 10.
Josiah Troutner, a biblical and theological studies and worship arts major from Marshalltown, Iowa, received Faculty Honors during Northwestern College’s commencement exercises on May 10.
Nearly 40 Northwestern College students will spend a portion of their summer as short-term missionaries through the college’s Summer of Service (SOS) program.
