Northwestern College is opening its 2025–26 art exhibit season with “Camera Obscura—An NWCore Create Collaborative Exhibition.” The show will be on display in Te Paske Gallery through Oct. 17, with a public reception scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m.

Northwestern College invites high school and transfer students to visit campus during the 2025–26 school year. Both individual visits and Raider Days (group visit days) serve as an introduction to the college for prospective students.

Regional leadership development program cohort to begin

Northwestern College’s Center for Innovation & Leadership welcomes the 2025–26 cohort selected for the Accelerate Siouxland leadership development program. Starting Sept. 11, the participants will develop relationships in the region and be equipped to become stronger community leaders.

Northwestern College student conducts summer research at MD Anderson Cancer Center

Dane Schoenborn, a senior biology–health professions major at Northwestern College from Mahnomen, Minnesota, has spent much of his summer conducting research at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. He participated in the highly competitive 10-week Summer Program in Cancer Research, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health and the National Cancer Institute.

NWC engineering program director approved as ABET program evaluator

Dr. Young-Ji Byon, the founding director of Northwestern College’s engineering program, has been approved as an ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) program evaluator. He will be an official ABET evaluator during an accreditation visit of a large Midwestern university’s civil engineering program this fall.
