Over 12 million dollars was invested in construction projects in the Orange City community in 2019, a slight increase from 2018.
Those projects included 15 single-family homes and two four-unit multi-family projects for a total of 19 housing units created in 2019. The 19 housing units represented $4,445,316.00 in residential construction.
In other construction, including commercial, industrial, and other projects, the total investment came totaled $7,802,123.
Major projects in 2019 included the completion of the Puddle Jumper 9th addition, North Weiland 1st addition, expansion at the Diamond Vogel Powder Coat Plant, completion of Hillcrest Apartments & Townhouses, Orange City Area Health System addition, Orange City Christian School, and Immanuel Christian Reformed Church.
City leaders plan to build on the positive momentum for growth in 2020.
