Northwestern College to hold day of giving

Northwestern College will hold its sixth annual Day of Giving on Thursday, Feb. 9. Titled AllNDay, the event is designed to encourage alumni and friends of the college to be “all in” with their support for Northwestern. The event will include a number of special challenges, including the “Eras of Excellence” competition, current parent challenge, and first-time donor challenge.

“AllNDay is a celebration of the students who make Northwestern the great place that it is,” says Kaleb Schrock, director of annual giving. “It is encouraging to see the support from the community, which helps make Northwestern’s mission of Christ-centered education a reality.”

Last year’s $200,000 goal was exceeded by more than $36,000, Schrock says, and he is hopeful that the $200,000 goal can again be surpassed in 2023.

This year, anonymous donors have pledged to match all AllNDay gifts up to a total of $100,000, effectively doubling the amount of each person’s gift. In addition, AllNDay donors may use their gift to vote for one of five “Eras of Excellence”: the 1960s and before, the 1970s, the 1980s, the 1990s, and 2000 to the present. Those who give to the era with the greatest increase in participation compared to last year will win a Northwestern College Bookstore gift certificate.

In addition, there will be multiple prize drawings throughout the day, including the Pizza Ranch Lunch-Hour Challenge, which is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. CST. In that challenge, donors who give $50 or more during those two hours will be entered into a drawing to win one of three $100 Pizza Ranch gift cards. There will also be a prize drawing for first-time donors to Northwestern.

AllNDay gifts may be made at any time via the Day of Giving website, allnday.nwciowa.edu. Updates will be posted on the website throughout the day on Feb. 9.
