Iowa Watercolor Society Show – Through the month of October, the Iowa Watercolor Society Traveling Member Show will be on display at the Northwestern College DeWitt Library main level. This exhibit is open to the public and free to attend, offering a splendid array of watercolor artworks from talented artists across Iowa.

Join us on October 18th at 6:30 PM, for a reception and special ‘The Art of Watercolor’ talk by renowned watercolor artist Judy Thompson. This event is a unique opportunity to gain insights into the world of watercolor painting from an expert in the field. Free will donation. Located at at the NWC Learning Commons Vogel Room.

Experience the serene beauty of a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony with Kuniko Yamamoto on October 25th at 7:00 PM at Kweken Co., downtown Orange City, IA. This special event will not only showcase the meticulous art of preparing and serving green tea but will also include captivating storytelling and traditional Japanese koto music. Each attendee will receive a cup of ceremonial green tea, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the ritual’s elegance, accompanied by the soothing sounds and tales that enrich the cultural experience. Limited seating; early ticket booking is recommended.
