Recently, the ash trees along MOC-FV High School were taken down. The shop class partnered with Homestead Woodworking to mill the logs.
“We cut one log into dimensional lumber, and the other was cut into big slabs. Once this lumber is dried, it will be available for future shop classes at the school to use for projects. It’s always fun seeing these kids get some hands-on experience with this and making great use out of some logs that likely would have gone to the tree dump or been cut up for firewood.” Luke shared.
Thank you to Dan’s Tree Service, Homestead Woodworking, and MOC for making use of these trees!
