The Orange City Municipal Pool is looking for individuals ages 15 and older to become lifeguards. Each year, the Orange City Parks and Recreation department works hard to properly staff our busy aquatic facility, and in recent years, there has been a lifeguard shortage in our area.
All area residents are encouraged to share this opportunity with high school students, college students and others they know who may be looking for a fun employment opportunity for the summer season.
Lifeguard training is offered in-house and only costs $25. Training dates are May 20-25, 2019, and the pool opens on Monday, May 27 for the 2019 season.
There will also be a lifeguard referral program offered again this year with $2000 worth of Orange City Chamber bucks available. For each referral, you can earn $20.

What if I didn’t finish all the levels of swimming lessons?
That doesn’t matter! Your swimming lesson history does not determine your eligibility to become a lifeguard.
I know lifeguards have to become certified, but I don’t know how to do that.
Our Orange City Parks and Recreation staff offers training in-house. This year’s training is scheduled for May 20-25. The cost of training is just $25.
