The Paws for a Cause Fun Run and Doggie Dash hosted by Revival Animal Health and sponsored by ProVetLogic will take place on Saturday, June 22, in Windmill Park downtown Orange City. Proceeds from the event are going to Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue, an all-volunteer, non-profit animal rescue in Sioux City, Iowa, that has been helping animals find their forever homes since 2007.
The Paws for a Cause 5K fun run starts at 8:30 a.m. Runners are able to have their dogs join the 5K, but event organizers ask that canine participants do their best to line up out of the way of other runners to avoid tangling other contestants in leashes or paws being stepped on.
The one-mile Doggie Dash will start after the 5K runners’ departure and is an opportunity to get out and do something healthy with a four-legged friend. Participants can walk the one-mile dash, and event organizers also request that dogs be on a leash for this event.
Participants can sign up online prior to the event. Registration and packet pick-up also take place on Saturday, June 22, from 7:15 – 8:15 a.m.
