Northwestern College to present Christmas Vespers
The Northwestern College music department will present its annual Christmas Vespers concerts Saturday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 3, at 3 p.m. in Christ Chapel.

For the 11th year, Northwestern College has been named to the Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces list compiled by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. Northwestern was recognized as an adoption advocate and ranked fifth in the education industry.
Dr. Robert Hubbard, professor of theatre at Northwestern College, is the author of a recently published book titled “Scenes With My Son: Love and Grief in the Wake of Suicide.”
The Northwestern College Symphonic Band will present a concert on Friday, Nov. 3, at 7:30 p.m. The following Friday, Nov. 10, Northwestern’s Heritage Singers will perform, also at 7:30 p.m.
Northwestern College’s theatre department will present “Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical” Nov. 9, 11, and 16–18 in the DeWitt Theatre Arts Center’s England Theatre.
Kim Van Es, an adjunct instructor at Northwestern College, is this year’s recipient of the Iowa Council of Teachers of English Distinguished Service Award.
Northwestern College will display artwork by Alton, Iowa, artist Duha Lee in its Te Paske Art Gallery Oct. 16 through Nov. 30.
Northwestern College’s latest physician assistant graduates have recorded a 100% first-time pass rate on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination. All 29 of the physician assistant students who graduated in August passed the exam on their first attempt.
