ORANGE CITY – Pet Costume Contest, Ice Cream, and Music Classics.
Show off your pet in Revival’s pet costume contest on Wednesday, August 1 at 6 p.m. Get creative with your costumes and enjoy ice cream in the park! Pet costume judges will be Becky Donahue, Mayor Les Douma and Bill Van Marel.
Afterwards, join your friends for a performance by the Orange City Area Community Band as part of the Onstage Orange City summer series.
Music classics will be performed by the community band at 7 p.m. at the bandshell in Windmill Park, Orange City. These outstanding local musicians, directed by Carla Van Beek, will perform a wide variety of music appealing to a crowd of all ages. The concert will include songs from the 70’s such as “Copacabana” by Barry Manilow, “The Hustle”, which was a dance song of the 70’s, “25 or 6 to 4” by Chicago, a salute to Glenn Miller including songs such as “Moonlight Serenade”, “Little Brown Jug”, and “In The Mood”, and several marches.
This event is free of charge thanks to Revival Animal Health, Inc. Proceeds from ice cream sales will be locally allocated for breast cancer awareness.
Bring lawn chairs or blankets. Concessions will be available. Rain location is the Orange City town hall.
