Orange City has been aggressive in providing assistance to new residents and developers for additional housing in our community, and housing construction has been active in recent years.
In 2017 there were a total of 24 housing units constructed, 12 single family homes and 12 multi-family units. Residential construction totaled $5,146,980 in new investment. So far in 2018, there are six single-family homes started.
A total of 46 housing lots are currently available for sale in Orange City, and to stay ahead of the demand, construction has started on the Puddle Jumper 9th addition at the south end of Orange City. When completed late fall 2018, this addition will result in 26 additional lots for single-family homes and seven lots for multi-family residential development.
