The Orange City Chamber of Commerce officially welcomed Genesis House, a non-profit organization that provides transitional housing, with a ribbon cutting today in Orange City. The Orange City Ambassadors were there to celebrate and thank the Orange City-based non-profit organization for the work they do in our area.
Following the ribbon cutting, an open house was held for Orange City residents and visitors to see the work that Genesis House staff and volunteers do to create new beginnings for women and children in Northwest Iowa.
Genesis House aims to empower women and children to a life of independence free from poverty, addiction and violence. The Genesis House’s mission is to provide faith-based housing and holistic supports for women and children impacted by homelessness and domestic violence.
