MOC-FV superintendent Russ Adams named 2020-21 Iowa school superintendent of the year

Russ Adams, superintendent of the MOC-Floyd Valley Community School District, has been named the 2020-21 Iowa Superintendent of the Year by the School Administrators of Iowa.

Adams has been the superintendent at MOC-Floyd Valley since 2013. Prior to his current role, he served as the MOC-Floyd Valley high school principal for ten years. Adams holds a bachelor’s degree in business education, a master’s degree in education administration from Drake University and a superintendent’s certification from Iowa State University.

He was nominated by his peers and selected for the award by a committee of Iowa superintendents. Administrator of the Year award recipients will be honored at SAIs Annual Conference next summer. He will also represent the state in the National Superintendent of the Year Program sponsored by AASA, The School Superintendents Association.
