New Dog Daycare and Kennel Breaks Ground

On Monday, October 8, the Orange City Chamber of Commerce and Orange City Ambassadors welcomed Ashley Van Sloten to the Orange City business community with a ground-breaking ceremony for her new business, Dutch Dogs.

Set to open in Spring 2019, Dutch Dogs will be a pet boarding, daycare and grooming business in Orange City. Dutch Dogs will provide boarding for dogs and cats, indoor and outdoor daycare for dogs, full grooming services and will also provide retail space. Construction has begun on the 6,400-square-foot facility on the southeast side of Orange City, and Van Sloten says the building will be able to house 60 cats and dogs.

Ashley, age 19, is from Orange City and is a graduate of Unity Christian High School.

Dutch Dogs will be located at the corner of Frankfort Ave and 15th St. SE.
