For the fifth year in a row, Northwestern College has set a spring enrollment record. This year’s number is 1,603, up from 1,584 last spring.
This semester a record 639 students are studying in Northwestern’s Graduate & Professional Studies (GPS) division, including online master’s degree programs in education and counseling, online degree-completion programs in early childhood and nursing, and an on-site master’s degree program in physician assistant studies—up from 615 last year.
International student enrollment continues to grow, accounting for 5.5% of residential, undergraduate students.
“It’s deeply gratifying to continue setting enrollment records,” says Tamara Fynaardt, vice president for enrollment and marketing. “In addition to maintaining strong undergraduate enrollment, increasing numbers of adult students are attracted to our Graduate & Professional Studies programs, enabling us to exceed enrollment targets in that division. Much credit goes to our standout GPS team, led by Dr. Jill Swisher.”
