Ryan Warnke, Director of Ancillary Services for Orange City Area Health System, announced the signing of Brett Guthmiller, DO, to the hospital’s medical staff.

“We are humbled and honored to welcome Dr. Guthmiller to our team at Orange City Area Health System,” Warnke commented.  “He not only comes with excellent training and skillset, but as an Orange City native he understands and embraces our culture and commitment to our patients.”

Dr. Guthmiller will join the current anesthesia team to provide anesthesia services for the health system’s Surgical Center, Birth Center, and Pain Management Clinic in the Fall of 2025. Guthmiller is currently a resident in anesthesiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. He is a graduate of Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and received his B.A. in biology/health professions from Northwestern College.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to join a well-respected organization and group of medical professionals in carrying out the tradition of outstanding local healthcare,” stated Guthmiller.  “It is exciting to be able to return to the Orange City area with my wife, Elizabeth (DeJong), to raise our two sons.”
