Orange City Arts has had an incredible summer of music, theatre, and community connection in Windmill Park (and beyond!) Here’s a look at the final events of the summer:

July 30 – Kate Voss & The Hot Sauce
Award-winning vocalist and bassist Kate Voss brought her vintage-inspired band, blending Hot Club jazz, Western Swing, and classic ‘50s and ‘60s hits. The lively performance had the audience laughing, and singing along to beloved tunes.

August 1 – High School Musical Jr. Performance
After a week-long youth theatre workshop, 46 middle school students under the direction of Leanne Bonnecroy and Amanda Lemke, took the stage at Unity Christian High School for a full production of High School Musical Jr.. The performance showcased the talent, teamwork, and energy of our local youth, drawing an enthusiastic crowd and highlighting the impact of arts education.
August 6 – Kley DeJong Band
Classic rock filled the park as the Kley DeJong Band took the stage. With powerful guitar riffs and timeless favorites, the band’s energy kept the crowd engaged all evening.

August 13 – Orange City Community Band
The summer wouldn’t be complete without another performance from our beloved Community Band. Their music provided a perfect soundtrack for a warm summer night, highlighting the talent and dedication of local musicians.
August 20 – Arts on Central
Our season culminated in downtown Orange City with Arts on Central, a collaborative celebration with the Orange City Chamber of Commerce. Central Avenue and 2nd Street came alive with carnival games, Touch-A-Truck, bubble stations, face painting, crafts, a scavenger hunt, and a free community meal. The evening concluded with a spirited concert by the Orange City Community Band, closing the season on a high note.
