Burger enthusiasts across Sioux County will have a new reason to dine locally this winter. From February 1–28, the county will host its first-ever Battle of the Burger, a month-long competition showcasing signature burgers from restaurants across Sioux County.
Participating restaurants from communities including Alton, Boyden, Granville, Hawarden, Hospers, Hull, Orange City, Rock Valley, Sheldon, and Sioux Center will feature a signature burger during the event. Community members and visitors are invited to try as many burgers as they can and vote for their favorites, helping determine which restaurant earns the title of Sioux County’s best burger.
“Battle of the Burger is a fun way to support local restaurants while bringing people together across Sioux County,” said event organizers. “It’s a chance to showcase local talent, support our restaurants, and enjoy some incredible burgers along the way.”
The event encourages residents to explore different towns, support small businesses, and experience the unique flavors each participating restaurant brings to the table. Whether you’re a classic burger fan or prefer bold, specialty flavors, there’s something for everyone during the competition.
More details about participating restaurants and voting will be announced soon.
