Northwestern College to host festival of culture

A festival celebrating the diversity of people and cultures represented on the Northwestern College campus is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, beginning at 5 p.m. The annual Beloved Festival of Culture will be held in the four-court area of the Rowenhorst Student Center.

Northwestern College to present 1776 musical

The Northwestern College theatre department will present the musical “1776” April 10–11 and 16–18 in the DeWitt Theatre Arts Center’s England Theatre. Performances will begin at 7:30 each of those evenings; there will also be a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday, April 11.

Northwestern College Symphonic Band to tour Iowa

New Northwestern College MSN degree to address national nurse educator shortage

As the health care industry faces a critical need for qualified nursing faculty, Northwestern College is proud to announce the launch of its new Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree in nursing education. This fully online program, which starts in August and can be completed in two years, is designed to empower nurses to transition from high-stress clinical environments into the classroom, preparing them to teach at the RN and BSN levels.

Northwestern choir to present tour repertoire at March 13 concert

The Northwestern College A cappella Choir will perform its touring concert Friday, March 13, at 7:30 p.m. in Christ Chapel. The event is free and open to the public.

Northwestern theatre ensemble to tour in two countries during spring break

Northwestern College’s Drama Ministries Ensemble (DME) will travel internationally during spring break, March 1–7, performing and leading workshops in the Netherlands and Germany.

Northwestern College students to serve during spring break

Northwestern College will send 12 teams of students on service trips to seven states, Mexico, Spain and England during spring break. More than 160 participants will travel for this year’s Spring Service Partnerships (SSP), scheduled for Feb. 28–March 9.

Northwestern College theatre students received top regional recognition at the Region Five American College Theatre Festival (ACTF), held Jan. 18–24 in Rochester, Minnesota.

Northwestern College to present Defying Gravity on stage

Northwestern College’s theatre department will present “Defying Gravity” Feb. 13, 14, 19, 20 and 21 at 7:30 p.m., with a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday, Feb. 14. Performances will take place in the Allen Black Box Theatre.

Northwestern Symphonic Band presents concert centered on hope in Christ

The Northwestern College Symphonic Band will present a unique Valentine’s Day concert titled “Eat Your Heart Out, Godzilla!” on Saturday, Feb. 14, at 7:30 p.m. in Christ Chapel. The concert is free and open to the public.
