Ten Northwestern College students will spend a portion of their summer as short-term missionaries through the college’s Summer of Service (SOS) program. They will spend three to nine weeks volunteering with mission partners in Central Asia, Europe, Ghana, Louisiana, Romania and Tanzania.
Students will work alongside long-term missionaries to provide medical care at an outreach clinic, help with activities at a children’s orphanage, teach English and share Bible stories, lead art and sport enrichment camps for youth, and build relationships with locals over coffee. They’ll assist organizations including Fara Limite, Pioneers, Urban Impact, Siouxland Tanzania Educational Medical Ministries and World Team.
Since 1981, Northwestern’s SOS program has encouraged and prepared students to be effective Christian servants around the world. Team members raise their own funds through the support of family, friends and their churches. To make a donation, visit nwciowa.edu/give2sos.
