Over $15 million was invested in construction projects in the Orange City community throughout 2020, an increase from $12 million in 2019.
Projects included the creation of 77 residential units, 13 of which are new, single-family homes. The 77 housing units represented $10,369,887 in residential construction. Other construction, including commercial, industrial and other projects, totaled $4,749,400 in investment.
Major projects in 2020 included development of the Puddlejumper Trail 10th addition, Industrie Centrum 7th addition, Hillcrest Apartments phase 2, the Northwestern College Welcome Center and the MOC-Floyd Valley School District transportation facility.
