Northwestern College will host two summer art camps in June, offering hands-on creative experiences for students ages 6 through 12.
Both camps will meet Monday through Wednesday afternoons from 1 to 4:30 p.m. The first session is scheduled for June 15–17, followed by a second camp June 22–24.
The camps will be led by Northwestern students under the direction of Amy Williams, instructor of art and design at the college.
“Our goal is to give students a space where they can experiment, explore and enjoy the creative process,” says Williams. “It’s less about making something perfect and more about discovering how fun and rewarding art can be.”
Participants will create a variety of projects using materials such as clay, paint and printmaking supplies. Classes will take place in the studios of Northwestern’s Korver Visual Arts Center. Each camp costs $100 per student and is limited to 12 participants.
