Northwestern band to present touring concert March 17

Dr. Juyeon Kang, an award-winning concert artist and professor of music at Northwestern College, will present a faculty piano recital in Christ Chapel on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 7:30 p.m.
Northwestern College senior theatre major Sierra Tumbleson was awarded first place in the dramaturgy category at the Region Five Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival in Des Moines Jan. 22 to 28.
Dr. Michael Kugler, professor of history at Northwestern College, served as editor of a newly published book, “Into the Jungle! A Boy’s Comic Strip History of World War II.” The book features comic strips hand-drawn by Kugler’s father in the 1940s.
Northwestern College’s 2022 graduates have achieved a 99% placement rate, with 83% employed and 16% in grad school within six months of graduation.
The Northwestern College theatre department will present American playwright Lauren Gunderson’s “Silent Sky” Feb. 17, 18, 23, 24 and 25 in the Allen Black Box Theatre.
Northwestern College will hold its sixth annual Day of Giving on Thursday, Feb. 9. Titled AllNDay, the event is designed to encourage alumni and friends of the college to be “all in” with their support for Northwestern.
Northwestern College’s Master of Education program has received recent high rankings from U.S. News & World Report and OnlineMastersDegrees.org.
For the fourth year in a row, Northwestern College has set a spring enrollment record. This year’s number is 1,584, up from 1,525 last spring.
Northwestern College’s Beloved Festival of Culture has been rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 4.
