Northwestern College to hold Day of Giving on Feb. 8

Northwestern College will hold its annual Day of Giving on Thursday, Feb. 8. Titled AllNDay, the event is designed to encourage alumni and friends of the college to be “all in” with their support for Northwestern.

Northwestern College senior Jack MacGregor, a theatre major from Denison, Iowa, received national recognition at the Region Five Kennedy Center College Theatre Festival (KCACTF), which was held in Des Moines Jan. 16–21.

Northwestern College sets spring enrollment record for fifth straight year

For the fifth year in a row, Northwestern College has set a spring enrollment record. This year’s number is 1,603, up from 1,584 last spring.

Northwestern College has been certified as a Best Christian Workplace based on data from the 2023 Best Christian Workplaces Institute survey, which measures the health of workplace culture in Christian organizations.

Works by northwest Iowa artist Lissa Lane-Johnson are on display in Northwestern College’s Te Paske Gallery through Feb. 29. “Bridging Reality” features acrylic paintings that move from realism to the abstract, usually incorporating elements of both.

Dr. Rachael Wittern, assistant professor of psychology at Northwestern College, will spend the next year collecting data on the mental health states of Ukrainian refugees living in the United States, thanks to a grant from the American Psychological Association.
